Visit Our Studio

Our Cape Town office occupies a restored Victorian building in the Gardens neighbourhood, within walking distance of Company's Garden and the South African National Gallery. The building itself demonstrates our approach to sympathetic heritage adaptation.

We welcome visitors by appointment. Whether you wish to discuss a potential project, explore partnership opportunities, or simply learn more about our work, please reach out to arrange a meeting.

For site consultations outside Cape Town, our team travels regularly to projects across South Africa. Contact us to discuss your location and scheduling requirements.

Regional Coverage

While headquartered in Cape Town, ocean-badger operates throughout South Africa. Our team has completed projects in all nine provinces, with particular concentrations in areas rich with architectural heritage.

Western Cape

Our home province offers unparalleled Cape Dutch heritage, from the grand homesteads of Stellenbosch to the fisher cottages of the West Coast. We maintain ongoing relationships with heritage authorities and conservation architects throughout the region.

Eastern Cape

From the Victorian architecture of Port Elizabeth and Grahamstown to the traditional Xhosa settlements of the former Transkei, the Eastern Cape presents diverse documentation opportunities we have actively pursued since 2021.

KwaZulu-Natal

The province's unique architectural heritage spans Zulu beehive dwellings, colonial Durban, and the distinctive farmsteads of the Midlands. Our community partnerships here have proved particularly rewarding.

Gauteng and Beyond

We regularly work in Gauteng, documenting both Ndebele homesteads and urban heritage sites. Projects have also taken us to the Karoo, Free State, and Limpopo.
